6:00 am – Pick up at your hotel in Mandalay and transfer to railway station to take a local train to the small city, Madaya through the villages and paddy fields along the way. Your tour guide will share commentary and nature of local people as you travel together on the train.
8:45 am – Once arrive at Madaya you will visit to explore the local market and then sit at the local tea shop for your breakfast and to observe native live. Then take the motorbike to explore villages and to see the local life, local products, and handicrafts workshops. Firstly you can see the production of the broom in their traditional way and Bamboo workshop for roof and wall. One of the interesting places is where local people produce timbers from Areca plants to use for their houses and local style buildings.
Then continue the visit to villages to see the local life who stay in the garden of betel and areca (Betel Nut) plants. Even you can see how local people produce the betel leaf and areca (betel nut). Chewing the Betel is very popular among Myanmar rural populations and even influence to the Urban. The different main product of that area is a traditional fired-brick which is produced by a unit composed of clay and used those local bricks in masonry construction. They distribute to the whole region of Mandalay. You can also explore to the traditional brick factory. Today your lunch will be at the village or the local restaurant.
Then you will take a local bus to Mandalay. Arrival in Mandalay takes a trishaw along the strand road of Ayeyarwaddy river to visit the local market where fish and flower are sold. After that a few minute walk through around the Riverside for your pleasure. The tour will finish for today, and you will be transferred to the hotel.
