What to Expect

Xylophone is also call Pattalar means musical instrument that can be played by the escalation of the rules or from the base to the peak. To play a xylophone, you need two sticks wrapped around with the fabric on the top that can produce a harmonious melody or sound. It has originally consist of 7 bamboo slats and we can produce unique rhythms and sounds.  Later, have been added up to ten bamboo slats and today, is used 24 slats. You can expect from this experience:
  • To know history and about one of Myanmar traditional musical instrument call xylophone.
  • To learn how to play Myanmar xylophone and to try yourself
  • To study the difference between Myanmar musical instrument and other musical instrument
  • To have a chance to stay closely with local artists and to learn their life

What We'll Do

As we, Myanmar Upper Land | culture & travel is trying to introduce world’s travelers to Authentic Myanmar culture and local experiences during their stay in Myanmar. This Experience is pilot project and we are happy to try with you for the very first time of the project. We do not charge you for this experience however you may need to pay some cost outside of the experience like transportation.  The only one thing you will need to do is to help us answer some survey questions to improvement this experience for future development.
