Community travel of 2018

Engaging communities is about strengthening their ability to participate meaningfully in the process of making conservation and safeguarding for their tangible and Intangible culture heritage. It can also be environmentally helpful and as community friendly as possible.

Myanmar is indeed an extremely diverse multicultural state officially comprising 135 subgroups gathered in eight significant ethnicities, namely Kachin, Kaya, Kayin, Chin, Shan, Mon, Rakhine and Bamar. Tensions between the Bamar majority group, representing two-thirds of the population and inhabiting the central part of the country, and other minorities, occupying the peripheral mountainous areas, have been on-going for many years now.

The programs in Myanmar Upper Land consists of different Community-Based Travel around Mandalay, Bagan and the Inle Lake (Shan State) and their rural area. It is unique in a way that we are taking special care of all its components. The whole approach and also explore the backstage of the local community will lead you to feel like as you are one of them.
