All about the Stay a week in Myanmar.

Enjoy your stay a week in Myanmar during your holiday to explore the highlights of Myanmar culture, nature and to know the historical basic of the lovely country. This tour will take you to visit Highlights of Bagan (ancient royal capital), Mandalay (the last royal city), Inle lake with its distinguish feature of the surrounding. You will cover the overview of the Myanmar with this a week tour.

  1. Day 1 Mandalay Arrival

    On arrival at Mandalay airport our tour guide will pick you up and he/she can help you to change your first kyats (Myanmar currency). Then transfer to the hotel for check in and sightseeing for Mahagantaryon monastery where may observe the daily life of the monks. Next visit is Mahamuni Buddha image, covered with many layers of gold leaves and continue visit to Myanmar handicraft workshops. After that visit Northern part of the city, Kuthodaw pagoda ( the world’s biggest book), Golden monastery (famous for its intricate wood-carvings) and a popular sunset for panoramic view from the top of Mandalay hill. Then drive back to hotel.

  2. Day 2 Sagaing - Ava - Amarapura

    Today you will visit to three ancient cities Ava, Sagaing and Amarapura around Mandalay. You will be picked up and transfer to Sagaing to visit Swan Oo Ponnyashinpagoda, Silver smith, nunnery in Sagaing. Then continue drive to Ava jetty and transfer by boat to Ava. Take a horse cart ride and Visit Bagaya teak wood monastery, Nan Myint tower –a 27 meter high and MahaAungMyaeBonzan monastery well known as Me Nu brick monastery. You can see local village life of Ava on the horse cart.
    Then transfer to Amarapura where Myanmar traditional silk weaving factory are located and visit the weaving factory. After that visit to U Bein bridge famous and very nice relaxing place in Amarapura. Sunset on the wooden bridge is unforgettable visit in this trip. Touring is finished for today and back to the hotel.

  3. Day 3 Mandalay – Bagan

    In this morning you will have to transfer to airport by car and take domestic flight for Bagan. At your arrival in Bagan, our tour guide will pick you up and hotel check in. Then visit the highlight of Bagan like Shwezigone pagoda (Nat images can be found within its precincts), Nyaung U market, Ananda Temple (the masterpieces of the early style temple architecture of Bagan), Dhamayangyi pagoda (the most massive shrine). Next visit is local family factory such as Lacquer-ware local family workshop, fermented bean paste workshop etc.

    Remark: According the airline’s schedule sometime there is no morning flight to Bagan and in that case we will arrange by evening flight to Bagan on Day 2 evening. The itinerary may change slightly.

  4. Day 4 Bagan – Mount Popa

    After having your breakfast, our tour guide will take you to Mt. Popa, an extinct volcano and home of Myanmar’s legendary 37 Nats or spirits that can be spent as a half day trip. Mt. Popa is an important place for local pilgrims and there is a temple complex on this holly mountain. You may see many local people who sell some roots, fruits and some parts of the animal which are useful for medical. Then back to Bagan and afternoon free time. We suggest you to explore in Bagan on an e-bike. We will arrange e-bike for you and you can also request for the guide service in the afternoon visit if you need.

  5. Day 5 Bagan – Pindaya – Inle

    At the morning after check out from the hotel transfer to airport by car and take domestic flight to Heho. Welcome by our tour guide at Heho airport and transfer to Pindaya. Visit Pindaya Cave, a huge cavern where nearly 8,000 Buddha statues appearing. Shan Parasol work shop where you can also see how paper is made in a traditional way to be a local used small umbrella.  A scenic route on the way to Inle lake travel through be a beautiful environment, with a view of mountains and rice fields.

  6. Day 6 Inle – Indein

    At the morning our tour guide will lead you to the jetty to take a boat ride and visit to Indein village famous for its significant small group of pagodas located on the western bank of the lake. Then continue visit to Inle lake, a very special environment, lovely and atmospheric inle lake and leg rower boat fisherman. Visit  PhaungDawOopagoda, a famous principal shrines with five Buddha images which become the stone shape by the sheer volume of gold leaf applied by devotees. Producing gold and silver ware is a long tradition of Local people here around Inle lake. And also you can visit weaving from lotus fibers, cheroot making etc. Today you will learn the work of many traditional handicrafts and the ways of life there in Inle lake on your private boat.

  7. Day 7 Inle – Mandalay

    This morning you will have to transfer to Heho airport by car and take domestic flight to Mandalay. Arrival to Mandalay airport our car will pick you up and transfer to the hotel for check in. Today is leisure day and you can even have your own plan as you like. In the low season there may not have morning flight schedule from Heho to Mandalay and we will arrange with the evening flight instead.

  8. Day 8 Mandalay departure

    Today is the end of the day in Mandalay and to adjust your international departure time. Airport transfer is arranged by car and driver will pick you up at your hotel.

We suggest you to carry slipper and something to protect from the sun and the dusts. Shorts or sleeveless tops and shoes are not allowed to enter place of Pagodas and Religious area.

Trekking shoes should be ready for trekking days and raincoat is suggested if it is raining season ( June – September).

We operate this tour in privately as we, MUL considered to the privacy of the travellers and not sharing with other travelers. But solo traveler can still book for this tour with reasonable (solo) price by choosing 1 pax at our checkout page.

We have three season in Myanmar, October to February is Winter (cold) season with average temperatures 20-24 C, March to May is Summer (hot) season with average temperatures 30-35 C) and  June to September is the Monsoon (rainy) season, with high rainfall and average temperatures 25-30 C.

We offer this tour all year round and the best season to do this tour is Winter season (Oct – Feb).
