- Day 1 Mandalay (Arrival day)
On arrival at Mandalay International Airport our tour guide will pick you up, and he/she start up the conversation to help you before the tour start. Then visit famous Mahamuni Pagoda and transfer to the hotel for check in. In the evening visit the highlights of Mandalay, Athumashi Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda at the foot of Mandalay Hill. View the sunset at the top of the Mandalay hill. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
- Day 2 Sagaing- Innwa- Amarapura, and Mingun
Today your travel plan is to see the famous “ Three Ancient Cities” of Innwa (Ava) – Amarapura – Sagaing and Mingun village where situated at the other bank of Irrawaddy river. Drive to Mingun via Sagaing first, the rural village area which is also a home to the world’s largest un-cracked ringing bell, the biggest brick base Pathodawgyi Pagoda and Myatheindan Pagoda with a distinctive architectural style modeled. Then drive back to Sagaing where you can enjoy the panoramic view at the top of the Hill cover with numerous white and gold pagodas and monasteries. Then, Silversmiths, Myanmar traditional workshop will be observed and afterwards proceed to Ava crossing the small river by boat. You will visit historical sights of Ava (Innwa) such as MahaAungmyabonsan Monastery well known as brick monastery built in early 19th century; Nan Myint Tower will know as the “leaning tower of Inwa,” Bargayar Teak Monastery with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful architecture style by traditional horse-cart. After that, you will continue to Amarapura where you can enjoy the sunset on the longest teak bridge and silk weaving factory in Amarapura. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
- Day 3 Mandalay – PyinOoLwin
Today we will visit PyinOoLwin, the hill station city where many colonial buildings are located with many historical backgrounds. PyinOoLwin is once the capital of British Burma, and 67 km far away from Mandalay. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery, friendly people, amazing experience, and even good food. Its picturesque views are breath-taking and the smiles on its colourful people are heartbeat-skipping. Overnight at hotel in PyinOo Lwin.
- Day 4 PyinOoLwin - Gokehteik – Hsipaw
This morning you will be transferred to the rail station and take a train rides to famous Gokehteik Viaduct for 4 hrs. The bridge itself is in a beautiful location and exciting which is over hundred-year-old and built by the British in 1901. The train is slow and bumpy, but it will be a crazy trip through the countryside with an opportunity to see and talk to local travellers. The main attraction is to see the stunning scenery and amazing the old Gokehteik Viaduct. You will enjoy the beautiful and breath-taking view crossing at the Gokteik Viaduct. When you arrive at Naung Paine station, the car is waiting for you to continue to Hsipaw. You will get Hsipaw in the evening and take a rest at your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Hsipaw.
- Day 5 Hsipaw
This morning you will visit for a half-day boat trip to the starting point of Dothawaddy river is an enticing option. While you are on a boat trip can explore charming Shan village with traditional houses and the beautiful river confluence. You can also see the typical Shan style Monastery by walking approx; 45 mins crossing pineapple plantations and fields. Come back and afternoon visits the highlights of Hsipaw. The Palace of the last Shan Prince is the first interesting place for traveller who comes to Hsipaw and also a chance to explore a little Bagan (where many small ancient stupas existed), Nat Shrine and local market. Even you can view the sunset from the top of the Hill in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Hsipaw.
- Day 6 Hsipaw - Mandalay
This morning after checking out of your hotel, you will explore the local market and drive back to Mandalay. You can make the stops and explore the other villages along the way back to Mandalay if the time is allowed. You will arrive back to Mandalay from an exciting trip. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
- Day 7 Mandalay – Monywar-Mandalay
This early morning we will drive to Monywar, visit Thanboddhay Pagoda mid 20-century temple whose multi roof layered with rows of golden 500,000 mini stupas and Huge Standing Buddha image, the second-tallest statue in the world is a high of 129 meters. This area is the crucial point of a sprawling site filled with Buddha statues, Bodhi trees, and pagodas, established in the 1960s. Then drive forward to Phoe Win Taung cave at the other side of Chindwin River, and you can explore many small and large richly decorated caves. Those are carved into a sandstone outcrop and contain numerous Buddha statues and mural paintings of geometric patterns and Jataka stories dated to between the 14th and 18th centuries. Then we will drive back directly to Mandalay, and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
- Day 8 Mandalay - Bagan (by ferry boat)
Today you will have local boat trip from Mandalay to Bagan. Early morning you will be transferred to the jetty and start your boat trip and you can see the local life and some rural villages, local people and beautiful scenery along the Ayeyarwaddy River. On arrival to Nyaung U jetty, the private car will pick you up and drive to your hotel in Bagan. Today you will have fantastic boat trip and freedom from the hustle and bustle life without a tour guide. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.
Remark: Boat ride from Mandalay to Bagan is available only in winter season ( October to March) and beyond this season we will arrange by bus to Bagan and Evening you have leisure time.
- Day 9 Bagan
Today our tour guide will lead you to enjoy the vast archeological zone of Bagan, the ancient city in central Myanmar. Your local guide will accompany to ensure you have a pleasant visit, including what to wear and how to get around. The highlights of Bagan is to visit Shwesigon pagoda where you can observe Nat (spirit) images, then a local market in Nyaung U, Ananda Temple; the masterpieces of the early style temple architecture of Bagan, Dhammayangyi Pagoda; the most massive shrine, Lacquer ware local family workshop, fermented bean paste workshop and other interesting places in Bagan. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.
- Day 10 Bagan – Mt. Popa
After having your breakfast, our tour guide will take you to Mt. Popa, an extinct volcano and home of Myanmar’s legendary 37 Nats or spirits. Mt. Popa is an important place for local pilgrims and there is a temple complex on this holy mountain. You may see many local people who sell some roots, fruits and some parts of the animal which are used for medicine. Then back to Bagan and afternoon free time. We will start biking for a beautiful sunset with our tour guide and overnight at hotel in Bagan.
- Day 11 Bagan – Inle (by day bus)
In the morning, the car will pick you up at the hotel and leave Bagan for Inle lake by day express bus is a great opportunity for you to interact and learn from the local without a tour guide. Evening you have free time and overnight at hotel in Nyaung Shwe.
- Day 12 Inle Lake
Today you will visit Indein, a small village located on the western bank of the lake, then sightseeing. Come back to Inle lake and explore more about Inle Lake. You may see the lovely and atmospheric Inle lake, leg rower boat fisherman, Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda; a famous principal shrine with five Buddha images, silversmith workshop, weaving from lotus fibres and cheroot making and so many amazing traditions of Intha. Overnight at hotel in Nyaung Shwe.
- Day 13 Inle – Heho – Yangon (by flight)
In the morning you will be transferred to Heho airport and flight to Yangon. You will be picked up at the Yangon airport by our guide and visit the highlight of Yangon city. You can explore the city centre where colonial buildings are located. Worth seeing including the Chaukthatgyi pagoda with the 65 m long reclining Buddha image, Karaweik Hall; the royal replica, Shwedagon temple complex; the largest temple in Myanmar is covered with a thick layer of gold leaf and brilliant gemstones. Our tour guide will lead you the whole day. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
- Day 14 Yangon - Golden Rock
At the morning start the trip to Golden Rock, one of Burma’s most sacred Buddhist sites. On the way, it is also possible to stop at world War II cemetery in Htaukkyant at the outskirt of City. Drive to Kyaikhtiyoe base camp and then take a local truck to get up the top of the mountain where the rock is. And then visit the Golden Rock pagoda and around. Your tour guide will lead the trip for the whole day. Overnight at hotel in KyaikHtiyoe.
- Day 15 Golden Rock – Mawlamyine
This morning drive to Mawlamyine (Mon State) about 4 hours. Mawlamyine is the third largest city in Myanmar after Yangon and Mandalay. It is the capital of Mon State with a population of almost 300000 people and formerly known as Moulmein; it was once a thriving teak port and the administrative capital of British Lower Burma. Afternoon arrives at Mawlamyine and check in hotel. After refreshment at the hotel, visit Mon Cultural Museum, First Baptist Church, SeindonMibayaKyaung (an old monastery), Viewpoint and Kyaikthanlan (pagoda) Paya, a favourite spot for watching the sunset. Overnight at Hotel in Mawlamyine. ( Museum is not opened on Monday )
- Day 16 Mawlamyine – Hpa-An
In the morning we will drive to Hpa-an, the capital city of Kayin State. On the way to Hpa-an visit Kha Yon cave, U Nar Oak monastery. Continue to drive to Hpa-an and lunch then check in hotel. Afternoon visit Sadan cave and the iconic sights of Mt ZweKabin, whose foothills are lined with thousands of identical Buddha statues and the ’Cave of Ten Thousand Buddhas,’ Overnight in Hpa-an.
- Day 17 Hpa-an – Bago – Yangon
After check out at your hotel visit the local market and then drive back to Yangon. We will visit Bago on the way back to Yangon. You may visit KanbawzaThardi Palace, Shwemawdaw Pagoda, and Shwe-Tha-Lyaung Pagoda depending on the time is allowed. Then continue to drive to Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
- Day 18 Yangon - Departure
Today is a free day, and you may adjust your time for your international departure. Airport transfer will be arranged for you without tour guide.

We suggest you to carry slipper and something to protect from the sun and the dusts. Shorts or sleeveless tops and shoes are not allowed to enter place of Pagodas and Religious area.
Raincoat is suggested if it is raining season ( June – September).
We operate this tour in privately as we, MUL considered to the privacy of the travellers and not sharing with other travelers. But solo traveler can still book for this tour with reasonable (solo) price by choosing 1 pax at our checkout page.
We have three season in Myanmar, October to February is Winter (cold) season with average temperatures 20-24 C, March to May is Summer (hot) season with average temperatures 30-35 C) and June to September is the Monsoon (rainy) season, with high rainfall and average temperatures 25-30 C.
We offer this tour almost whole year and except raining season is not recommended. The best season to do this tour is Winter season (Oct – Feb).
