Day 1 : Mandalay – Sagging – Monywar

We start this tour by picking up at your hotel in Mandalay and drive to Sagaing for your optional short visit. During the brief visit in Sagaing, you can learn about Buddhist monastic life and well known as a retreat for Buddhist devotees. SwanOoPonnyashin pagoda, panoramic view from the Sagaing hill top, silversmith (producing silver wares in their way of tradition) and pottery making.
On the way to Monywar, you may see the firms and garden, local people who work in the fields and businesses. Continue to drive to Thanboddhay Pagoda mid 20-century temple whose multi roof layered with rows of golden 500,000 mini stupas and Huge Standing Buddha image, the second-tallest statue in the world is a high of 129 meters. This area is the crucial point of a sprawling site filled with Buddha statues, Bodhi trees, and pagodas, established in the 1960s. Then drive forward to the hotel in Monywar.
In the evening you have some time, and you may visit the local market, commercial center of the Chindwin valley and walk along the river bank.

Day 2 : Monywar – Phowin Taung – Monywar

Our tour guide will lead you to go to Phoe Win Taung cave in the morning, and it located across the Chindwin river 25 km west of Monywar.
You can explore many small and large richly decorated caves. Those are carved into a sandstone outcrop and contains numerous Buddha statues and mural paintings of geometric patterns and Jataka stories dated to between the 14th and 18th centuries.
Then we will drive back to Mandalay, and the tour will end at Mandalay in the late afternoon.
Suggestion: But you may have option to continue your trip to Bagan. In this case You need to inform us in advance and you will have to pay for transport charges from Monywar to Bagan as an extra.
